Despite to what Zionist claim, the first scheme of the establishment of a Jewish state in Palestine was not theirs. But the original designers were the colonial powers. In other words, making Palestine as a Jewish country was proposed by France and Britain and this was far before the recommendation of Theodore Herzl, the founder of Zionism (death in 1283 Iranian date/ 1904 A.D.) in Swiss Ball Conference. This shows the Strategical importance of Palestine territory for the colonial states.

Being in the heart of the Ottoman Empire and neighboring with Mediterranean Sea and the Suez Canal, Palestine was considered as an extremely lucrative zone for Europeans. The Arab territories in the  Ottoman Empire were on the way to India, east Asia and the Persian Gulf. United States of America particularly in  the 1309 Iranian date/1930s A.D, realized the strategical importance of oil interests in Saudi Arabia and Persian Gulf. Other Middle East Nations especially the Arab World, could be a very good market for the U.S.A goods consumption. These mutual benefits, after the zionists conference in Hotel Billet moore in New york [in 1321 Iranian date/1942 A.D.], made the U.S.A government to declare its full support for the Zionist movement policy in transfering Palestine to a Jewish state.

Moreover, according to Herzel confession, the jewish will be the representatives of west civilization. He assumed that they are able to bring purity, order and decent traditions to this plague-stricken corner of the east i.e. palestine.

The state and territory of Israel are pretty important for the Zionists.

The Zionist movement has rendered two historical and religious reasons about the establishment of the israeli country in palestine. [The first reason ] The zionists historians believe establishing the israeli country is in fact the reconstruction of the ancient state of the jewish tribe which was destroyed by invasion of the foreigners in the fifth century B.C. . [The second one] Returning of the jews to palestine and creating a new state are in fact the fulfillment of God s promises given to the children of israil.

In a part of the announcement for the israeli state establishment, we read:

The land of Israel is the birth-place of the Jews. Their spiritual, religious and national characters were established here. They announce their indipendency here and created a culture that was crucial nationally and globally. The Torah has been written and presented to world here.

But zionists have not provided reliable reasons for approving their historical and religious claims. Even some of jews and zionists have rejected these claims.

The other reason for the strategical importance of  the occupied palestine is its neighborhood with the worlds strategicalstraits.Israel is neighboring with the straits of Bosporus, Dardanelles, Bob Almandab and particularly the world s longest water canal and also the shortest waterway between Europe and Asia i.e. the Suez Canal. Palestine , by a small coast in Elat port in the Gulf of Aqaba, is connected to Red Sea which relates to the Suez Canal. The importance of this canal can be realized in the words of the famous French author, Ernest Renan, addressed to the builder of this canal, FerdinalDolspes No.5.

What you have built is not only a connection between the two Seas, but also a canal that relates the world s Oceans.  In terms of  navigation, its  role is  so brilliant that every one wishes for its possession  in war time
